Harvest Day Celebration planned at Villa Maria

NEW BEDFORD, Pa. -- A Harvest Day Celebration is planned for 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Villa Maria Community Center.
Frank Romeo, Villa Maria land manager, will reflect on the gifts of the harvest. There will be a meal with family and friends.
The day also includes hayrides, pumpkin painting, children's activities, paper making, wool spinning, herbs, crafts, music, a variety of demonstrations, farm tours, nature trail walks, games, surprises and more.
The event is sponsored by Evergreen and Villa Maria Department of Land Management. There will be organic produce and other items for sale.
Registration is appreciated, but not required. The cost is $5 per person with a $20 maximum per family.
