Vows renewed by Plunketts on 50th anniversary

XSALEM -- Mr. and Mrs. John Plunkett, 2882 Washingtonville Road, observed their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows Sept. 3 during a 4:30 p.m. Mass at St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana where they are members.
Afterward they were honored at a dinner held at Johnny's in Boardman by their son and daughter, Brian Plunkett of Knoxville, Tenn., and Pam Nevel of Boardman. There are two granddaughters in the family.
The former Mary Jane Perino and Mr. Plunkett were married Sept. 3, 1955, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Ashville, Pa.
Mrs. Plunkett retired in 1981 from Packard Electric in Warren where she was a service general.
Prior to retiring in 1989, Mr. Plunkett was a welder with Wean United in Warren.
