Surprise party marks Lay anniversary



NEWTON FALLS -- A surprise party was held Sept. 4 in observance of the 40th anniversary of Clyde and Dorothy Lay, 4613 Pritchard-Ohltown Road, who were married Sept. 11, 1965, at Pricetown United Methodist Church.
Invitations for the noon event at the Lay home were extended by the couple's family, Larry and Paulette Lay of Austintown, Lance and Jennifer Lay of Clarksville, Tenn., and Lori and Brad Metts of Lake Milton. Also participating were their seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Lay, the former Dorothy Phillips, is a bus driver with Jackson Milton Schools in North Jackson.
Her husband served with the Army from 1965 to 1967 and is a security guard with Thomas Steel in Warren.
