Bespiatys to be feted at two events during October

XAUSTINTOWN -- October is an important month in the lives of Mr. and Mrs. John Bespiaty, 2420 Vollmer Drive, who will be celebrating 65 years of marriage on Oct. 12 and his 91st birthday on Oct. 27.
Their daughter, Polly Ann Flood of Canfield, will host an open family gathering to be held at the couple's home on Oct. 12 in observance of the occasion.
The couple's family also includes John Jr. and Louwanna Bespiaty of Ripon, Calif.
The former Mary Pavlisen and Mr. Bespiaty were married Oct. 12, 1940, at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Youngstown where they are members.
Mrs. Bespiaty retired from Youngstown Board of Education in 1976 after 16 years of service.
Mr. Bespiaty served with the U.S. Army from 1944-1956 and was a staff sergeant stationed in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He retired in 1977 from Aeroquip Rubber Co. in Youngstown where he was a wire braid operator for 32 years.
