West Branch loses second game, 48-25



CANAL FULTON -- Scott Weber gained 147 yards on 21 carries, which included touchdown runs of 53, 2 and 5 yards, as Northwest defeated West Branch 48-25 in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference game Friday night.
Eric Balputnis of the Warriors (3-2, 1-1) rushed 15 times for 86 yards and caught three passes for 91 yards, which included a 75-yard TD strike from Steve McNeely, who was 13-of-27 for 177 yards.
The Warriors closed to 21-19 with 6:06 remaining in the third quarter, but Northwest (4-1, 2-0) answered with three TDs to put the contest away.
