The last time this was done, about 40 alumni band members took part.

NORTH LIMA -- When the South Range Raider band strikes up next Friday, folks might see some new, yet familiar faces on the field at half time.
The South Range Marching Band is inviting former band members to join in on Friday's half-time show. Former band members from South Range, Greenford or North Lima schools are welcome to participate. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. at South Range.
"If you don't know the music, you can fake it," said Jeff DiCesare, band director.
& quot;We've made it real easy. It's basically follow the leader. The old band members will be paired with current members and all they have to do is follow along. If they have their own instruments, it's helpful, but not necessary [because they can be provided].
Band alumni are being asked to attend a practice at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school. The fee is $10, which basically covers the cost of the T shirt that will serve as the band uniform that night.
It's a repeat
DiCesare said Friday's event will mark the second time the school district has invited former band members to participate in a half-time show since he became band director about nine years ago. He said last time, about five years ago, some 40 former band members participated. He said this year he's hoping to see that number doubled.
& quot;The first time we did this, it was great, & quot; he said. & quot;Everyone had a great time and couldn't wait to do it again. So, we're going for it. & quot;
DiCesare said the band will script out R-A-I-D-E-R.
& quot;But it's pretty easy, & quot; he said. & quot;And the students know what they're doing. They'll be easy to follow. & quot;
DiCesare is asking band alumni interested in participating to contact him as soon as possible.
& quot;We need to hear from you by Tuesday, at least, so we can get a shirt for you, & quot; he said.
& quot;If not and you still want in, we won't exclude anyone. The thing we want is to bring the old band members back and get as many of them involved as we can. & quot;
