Fall Fish Sale will be Oct. 20



CANFIELD -- The Mahoning County Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring its semiannual Fall Fish Sale on Oct. 20.
Orders will be available for pickup between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. in front of the Education Building at the Canfield Fairgrounds.
Entry to the fairgrounds will be through the Ziegler gate. Deadline for placing orders is Oct. 18, and payment must accompany each order.
Fish available for purchase include fingerling largemouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill, redear shellcrackers, crappies, perch, minnows and white amur.
When picking up an order, buyers are asked to please bring the following: five to eight gallons of pond water per 100 fish of each species; five gallons of water for every two white amur; 30-gallon trash can(s) lined with trash bags that can be tied shut; one container will be sufficient for less than 150 bass, bluegill, minnows, perch, shellcrackers or catfish.
