Organization to hold 5K run to benefit charities

AUSTINTOWN -- A 5K run benefiting several charities will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday at Austintown Fire Station No. 4, 1690 Turner Road.
Redeemer Charities of Austintown, an organization affiliated with Redeemer Lutheran Church, is putting on the race. Proceeds will support hurricane relief, the Red Cross, Thrivent Disaster, Habitat for Humanity, Victory Food Bank of Youngstown, Redeemer Charities and Mission of Love.
Preregister at $13 or register for $15 on race day.
All entrants will receive an event shirt, with long-sleeved shirts going to the first 100.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in age groups from 14 and younger up to 65 and older.
All entrants are eligible to win prizes that will be drawn after the race.
