XAUSTINTOWN -- Grace Church of the Nazarene was the setting on Aug. 20 as nuptial vows were exchanged by Melinda Bonwick, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bonwick III, 249 Poland Ave., Struthers, and Robert Straley, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Straley, 311 Carriage Lane, Canfield.
The couple were united in marriage during a 3 p.m. ceremony officiated by the Rev. Tom Fennel and honored at a reception afterward at Mahoning Country Club, Girard. After a honeymoon to Niagara Falls and Buckhorn, Canada, they live in Struthers.
The bride's white chiffon over satin gown was made by her mother, as were the royal blue gowns worn by the attendants.
Donna Toto and Melissa Potts were the honor attendants, and bridesmaids were Lisa Crone, Lori Hoon, Jen Ruby, Missy Vargas and Tricia Hannon. Junior bridesmaid was Elizabeth O'Connor, and flower girl was Brittany Hoon.
Sharing the duties of best man were Donald Straley and James Cordova, and groomsmen were Keith Barber, Darryll Hoon, Donald Bonwick, Dan Potts, Jeff Crawford and Gene Barber. Junior groomsman was Darryll Hoon Jr., and ring bearer was Jacob Potts.
The bride graduated from Kent State University with a degree in educational interpreting. She is a sign language interpreter with Youngstown City Schools.
The groom is employed in estimating and purchasing with Youngstown Metal Fabricating.
