"The Apprentice" (9 p.m., NBC): Donald Trump himself returns for the fourth season of "The Apprentice," ready to aim "you're fired" at a new crop of hopefuls. The show has ditched last season's "Street Smarts vs. Book Smarts" competition, which Trump disliked.
"Everybody Hates Chris" (8 p.m., UPN): Turns out Chris Rock was funny even as a young teen. "Everybody Hates Chris" is a hilarious new sitcom that recalls the comedian's turbulent days at a mostly white school and his loving, but strict upbringing in a tough Brooklyn neighborhood. Tyler James Williams is a hoot as the kid Rock and the entire cast shines. Now let's hope the show can succeed on a highly competitive night.
"Dancing With the Stars" (8 p.m., ABC): The finale was mired in so much controversy that champion Kelly Monaco and runner-up John O' Hurley have agreed to go toe-to-toe in another showdown that should determine once and for all who is the best hoofer. And, yes, it's another chance for ABC to milk the summer's biggest ratings-success story.
"Criminal Minds" (10 p.m., ABC): A sort of Justice League of FBI profilers who try to read the mind of a maniac they haven't met yet, so they can see the future in time to prevent his crime. This drama, which stars Mandy Patinkin and Thomas Gibson, moves to its regular day and time -- 9 p.m. Wednesdays -- on Sept. 28.
