Woman, 70, reports being struck, robbed

YOUNGSTOWN -- A 70-year-old woman told police she was robbed Tuesday morning as she arrived for work at a South Meridian Road restaurant.
The woman, a waitress at the Landmark Restaurant, said she got out of her car to go into work about 7:30 a.m. when she felt a punch to the back of her head.
She fell to the ground and saw a large man standing over her.
The man pulled her purse away from her, got into a large white car and fled. She went into the restaurant, and police were called.
Several of the restaurant's customers looked for the man but didn't find him.
