Summary of recent criminal activity in Canfield city and Austintown Township:
CANFIELD
Sept. 12
Drug abuse: Police were called to Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive, after a female student was found to have about 1.6 grams of marijuana in her possession and was using a soft drink can designed to be a drug pipe, which also contained marijuana residue.
Threats: A man entered Bernard Auto Parts, 415 W. Main St., approached the counter and made threats to a male employee. A woman later entered the store and also made threats to the employee, who was trying to get the male to leave. The man grabbed a jump start battery pack and threw it on the ground, breaking the plastic casing in several places, and then shoved items off the counter toward the male employee.
Sept. 13
Assault: A 51-year-old Canfield man was arrested on an assault charge after he followed another vehicle into the Giant Eagle parking lot, 525 E. Main St., and approached the man's car after yelling obscenities at him on the roadway. He slammed the driver's side door shut and punched the victim in the right side of the mouth. Police found a half-empty bottle of whiskey in the suspect's car.
Sept. 14
Mutual aid: Police responded to a call for back-up from the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department after a McCarty Drive woman called police saying she and her ex-husband were fighting. The man was arrested on charges of aggravated burglary and domestic violence, and Canfield police waited at the scene until a second sheriff's deputy arrived.

Public indecency: Police were called to the 300 block of Carriage Hill apartments where a man and his wife registered a complaint that a neighbor has been watching pornography for the past several months and it is clearly visible through his window from the parking lot.

Sept. 12
Theft from auto: The drug Vicoden and a Mousado watch were taken from a vehicle in the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Drug offense: An Austintown man was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana in the 4000 block of Nantucket Boulevard.
Drug offense: A Boardman man was issued a summons at Mahoning Avenue and state Route 11 on a charge of possession of marijuana.
Theft: A wallet containing an Ohio license, cash and a Visa card was stolen from Dollar Sense, 5517 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: A Cortland man was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine and tested positive for cocaine use at Oakwood Avenue and North Meridian Road.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged in the 3000 block of Dunbar Avenue.
Breaking and entering: A man was arrested on a breaking and entering charge in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.
Theft from auto: A man is accused of stealing items from an auto in the 3000 block of Ascot Court.
Menacing: A woman is accused of menacing a man in the 2000 block of Frostwood Drive.
Theft: Money was taken from a victim's account at Seven-Seventeen Credit Union, 6460 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A diamond ring was stolen from the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: Picnic tables were taken from the 6000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A BB was shot into a window in the 5000 block of Vassar Avenue.

Breaking and entering: A chainsaw was taken from the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft from auto: A satellite meter was stolen from a vehicle in the 40 block of North Raccoon Road.
Theft: A man is accused of theft at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: $8,092 was stolen from the Checkered Express, 3700 Oakwood Ave.
Assault: A woman was assaulted in the 4000 block of Norquest Boulevard.
Patient abuse: A patient was assaulted by a worker at Gateways for Better Living, 230 Idaho Road.
Criminal damaging: Carpeting was damaged at Motel 6, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: A man's wallet was taken from Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Checks were stolen from the 100 block of Fairmeadow Drive.
Theft: A ladies wallet was stolen from Cracker Barrel, 5600 Interstate Blvd.

Aggravated burglary: Four men are suspects in a burglary in the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue.
Felonious assault: A man is a suspect in an assault in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Bomb threat: A man called the Austintown Police Department from a cell phone and said he was tired of people making fun of him and planned to bomb Girard High School.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Product Action, 400 Victoria Road.
Drug offense: A summons was issued for the arrest of an Austintown man on a charge of possession of marijuana at South Raccoon Road and Burkey Road.

Disorderly conduct: A man was charged with disorderly conduct at the BP gas station, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Disturbance: A fight between several men was reported in the 10 block of North Edgehill Avenue.
Theft from auto: Two license plates were stolen from a vehicle at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Burglary: A snowblower was stolen from the 100 block of Yorkshire Boulevard.
Theft: Two men are suspects in a theft in the 4000 block of Washington Drive.
Aggravated menacing: A handgun was brandished by a suspect at Mahoning Avenue and Four Mile Run Road.
Theft: $160.78 was taken from a cash register at Marc's, 4755 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $10.14 in gasoline was stolen by a man, and a summons was issued for his arrest at Sheetz gas station.
Theft: $32.62 in gasoline was stolen from Sheetz gas station.
Theft: A Roadmaster 24-inch bicycle was stolen from the 4000 block of Kerrybrook Drive.
Theft: Gasoline was stolen from Sheetz gas station.
Criminal damaging: Tires were damaged on a vehicle in the 4000 block of Claridge Drive.
Theft: A purse with identification and a checkbook was stolen from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Three juveniles were caught stealing at Wal-Mart.
Aggravated robbery: A man, indicating he had a gun, took an unknown amount of cash from the BP gas station, 5502 Mahoning Ave.
Sept. 18
Drug offense: A homeless woman was placed in county jail after she was arrested on a charge of drug abuse when police found a crack pipe in her purse at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive. She also had an outstanding warrant from Niles on her for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Criminal trespassing: A woman was issued a summons for criminal trespassing at the TA Travel Center.
Attempted burglary: The victim said he fought a burglar off in the 3000 block of Cumberland Drive. A small front door window was broken to gain entry.
Criminal damaging: A window was damaged in the 3000 block of Canfield Road.
