Police seek leads in shooting of two men

WARREN -- City police have no leads and no suspects in the Monday night shooting of two young men inside a house in the city's southeast quadrant, said Detective Sgt. Jeff Cole, who is assigned to the case.
One of the victims, Brandon York, 19, of Woodbine Avenue Southeast, where the shooting took place, was in good condition Tuesday in Metro Health Medical Center of Cleveland after having been shot in the chest. York had been flown by helicopter to Cleveland from Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
The other victim in the 9:20 p.m. shooting, Henry Cain Jr., 24, of Belmont Avenue Northeast, who was shot in the leg, was discharged Tuesday from TMH. Cain told police he was visiting his friend, York, when both were shot and robbed by two men they didn't know.
Sgt. Martin Gargas said both a small-caliber gun and a large-caliber gun, one likely a long gun and the other a handgun, were used in the assault, likely by multiple assailants.
He added that police recovered several guns, including both handguns and long guns, at the scene. Gargas said police also found suspected marijuana and some pills in the house. Gargas urged anyone with information on the shootings to call the police department.
