Mahoning County commissioners handled these matters Monday evening at their meeting at the Beloit Village Hall Fire Station:
Heard residents express concerns about the condition of some roads and culverts in the southwestern portion of the county, said Commissioner Anthony Traficanti.
Approved an agreement with the South Range Baseball Association to install a concrete pad costing $3,800 for a new community recycling drop-off location.
Approved a $112,574 contract with ES & amp;C International of Youngstown for engineering work on a sanitary sewer extension in Beaver Township.
Approved a resolution naming the new Walton Avenue Bridge as the Steelworkers Bridge at the request of the Mahoning River Corridor of Opportunity.
Announced the next commissioner meeting will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 29 in the commissioner hearing room in the basement of the county courthouse in Youngstown.
