Mahoning Township plans fall cleanup



HILLSVILLE, Pa. -- Mahoning Township's fall cleanup will be from Sept. 26 to Oct. 3. Residents are asked to place all items at curbside the day before their scheduled collections.
Items should be placed neatly in bags or bundles. The township road crew will not take plate glass, anything longer than 10 feet, perishables or other garbage, batteries, tires, paint cans or large amounts of wood. Refrigerators and air conditioners will only be accepted if the Freon is professionally removed and tagged. Furniture and appliances will be accepted.
Mobile home residents should put their items at the mobile home entrances.
The cleanup schedule follows:
Sept. 27: Overlook Drive, Francis Drive, Churchill Road to the river, West State Street from Churchill, Rachal Road, Carbon-Micco Road, Arena Lane, Hilltop and Butch Estates.
Sept. 28: Miller Farm Road, Mohawk School Road, Edinburg, North Edinburg Road-South, Countryside mobile home park, West State Street-East of Hilltop Estates.
Sept. 29: North Edinburg, the eastern section of the township including Benjamin Franklin Highway, the Harbor, Sankey Run Road, Skyhill Road, North Edinburg Road-North, Twilight and Devite mobile home parks.
Sept. 30: Zoccoli mobile home park, North Edinburg Road -- north to the township line, Matthews Road, Denny Drive, Garner Road, Five Points Road, Zoccoli Road, Palmer Road.
Oct. 3: Ambrosia, Baird, Hillsville and Coffee Run roads.
Oct. 4: Evergreen Road, Skyhill Road, Butch Circle, McBride Road, Carlisle Road.
Oct. 5: Erskine Quarry, Graham, River and Jacobson roads.
