XPOLAND -- Karen Fisher, a daughter of Dix Fisher of Boardman and the late Jacquelyn Fisher, and Hud Risley, a son of Shelly Hoffman, 150 Rutgers Circle, Fairfield Glade, Tenn., and Herbert Risley III, 449 Wilcox Road, Austintown, were married Aug. 13 at the home of the bride's aunt and uncle, Lou and Rae Cruz, in Poland.
The Rev. Fred Rosko Jr. presided at the 8:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held afterward.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and live at 504 E. Main St., Manchester, Mich.
Black gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Laura Crawford, and the bridesmaids, Amy Guy; Eve Fisher, the bride's cousin; Dr. Jennifer Hall; Dr. Nupur Saxena; and Robyn Filby, the groom's sister. Flower girl was Devin Echle, the groom's daughter.
Brian McIntyre served as best man, and groomsmen were Kevin Fisher, the bride's brother; Brock Main, the groom's uncle; and Andrew Fluxe.
The bride is in pharmaceutical sales with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in Detroit. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in combined sciences and attended Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
The groom earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in chemistry at YSU and is a research scientist in the department of medicinal chemistry with Pfizer Global Research and Development in Ann Arbor, Mich.
