XAltar and Rosary Society of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will hold a garage sale out of the trunk of vendors cars from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15. The cost is $10 per car or $20 per minivan, SUV or pickup truck. All items will be sold from the vehicle; no tables are to be set up. There will also be a bake sale, Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle, hot dog and soda sale, corn stalks and pumpkin sale. To reserve a parking spot, send a check payable to IHM Altar and Rosary Society and mail it to the church office marked to the attention of "Treasure Sale." There will be no refunds.

SPECIAL EVENTS
XGreater East Ohio Area Alzheimer's Association is sponsoring its 14th annual Memory Walk at 9 a.m. Oct. 8 at Beard Cabin in Boardman Park to benefit local individuals, families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. The chapter is seeking sponsorship, teams and individuals to participate. There is no set registration fee for walkers, but all walkers who raise $50 will receive a T-shirt (while supplies last). Prizes will be awarded to the individual, corporate team and family team raising the most money. XThe seventh annual Joshua Walker Benefit Car and Motorcycle Cruise will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Emmanuel Community Church, 6512 Kirk Road, Canfield. The event will benefit the 8-year-old Austintown resident who suffers from metachromatic luekadystrophy. There will be a Chinese auction, 50-50 drawing, live entertainment, displays, food, trophies, dash plaques and pins and other special events. Registration of a vehicle is by donation.
