Judge orders Sizemore to stay in drug rehab

Judge orders Sizemoreto stay in drug rehab
LOS ANGELES -- Tom Sizemore has been ordered to remain in a live-in drug rehabilitation program for another 30 days, but he can leave to work and attend charity events.
"This next month should prove to us that you're going to stay sober -- clean and sober -- and work at the same time," Superior Court Judge Paula Adele Mabrey said late last week.
Sizemore, whose films include "Saving Private Ryan" and "Black Hawk Down," has been living at Las Encinas treatment center in Pasadena for more than 72 days.
Based on a report from his doctor, it appears that "Mr. Sizemore has taken his treatment seriously," the judge said.
Another hearing was set for Oct. 17.
Back on track, Alleydiscusses weight loss
Kirstie Alley graces the cover of People magazine's issue that hit newsstands Friday. The once X-large star of Showtime's "Fat Actress" is finally in charge when it comes to her weight, with claims of a 50-pound reduction from her frame that once held somewhere north of 200.
"When I got fat, I was being stupid. It was a little bit like when I used to do drugs," Alley told People.
Now a paid endorser for Jenny Craig, Alley says the proof is in the pudding, or lack thereof. Following the Craig program of 1,200 to 1,500 calories a day, she is four dress sizes smaller.
Unfortunately, while dropping pounds, Alley thinks her chances to continue "Fat Actress" also fell.
"I think [the network execs] have great concerns with me not being fat," says Alley.
If it wasn't the fat it might be the fact -- the fact that the show, which garnered some good reviews, lost 68 percent of its audience after the first two episodes, according to People.
Trump on soap: Theseare the days of his life
NEW YORK -- Donald Trump, soon to premiere the fourth season of "The Apprentice," will make his daytime soap opera debut on NBC's "Days of Our Lives."
Trump was to tape his appearance Friday for an episode set to air Oct. 24, the network said.
"I'm thrilled that Donald Trump will be guest starring on 'Days of Our Lives,"' Sheraton Kalouria, senior vice president, NBC Daytime, said in a statement.
"[Trump] intimately knows drama from his many business ventures to his weekly boardrooms on 'The Apprentice.' Little does he know that the drama on 'Days of Our Lives' is often more intense!"
The new season of "The Apprentice," in which candidates compete for a job with the real estate mogul, premieres Thursday.
Relishing vile Voldemort
Often described as aloof and somewhat distant on screen, actor Ralph Fiennes is looking forward to getting down and dirty in the latest Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," according to the New York Daily News.
The Oscar-nominated actor whose film "The Constant Gardener" (co-starring Rachel Weisz) is in theaters, stars opposite Daniel Radcliffe (Potter) as the vile Lord Voldemort.
"That's one of the hardest things to play, the personification of evil!" says Fiennes. "It's a full-on villain turn. You have to find a certain style or tone -- you don't want to be either too campy or too understated."
The fourth Potter film is set to cast spells on moviegoers in November.
'Big Easy' benefit planned
Jimmy Buffett, Elton John, Dave Matthews, Lenny Kravitz, Bette Midler and New Orleans natives The Neville Brothers and Allen Toussaint are among the performers scheduled to appear at Tuesday's pay-per-view concert, "From the Big Apple to the Big Easy," to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims.
Using two venues, Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall, the concert will be broadcast on pay-per-view satellite and cable channels. Madison Square Garden is paying for all production costs as well as donating $1 million.
