Sharon holds off Slippery Rock for 14-9 win

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Delon Bourns connected on a 30-yard touchdown pass to K.J. Smith while A.J. Wilson ran for the conversion to give Sharon a 14-3 lead in the second quarter, and the Tigers held on for a 14-9 win over Slippery Rock.
Wilson scored the first TD for Sharon (2-1) on a 1-yard plunge in the second quarter, and finished with a game-high 115 yards rushing in 18 carries.
David Bauer scored on a 8-yard dash for Slippery Rock in the third quarter for the final score.
Bauer rushed for 62 yards in 10 carries to key Slippery Rock, while William Thompson added 41 yards in six runs.
