Bieterman 65th anniversary is marked by family

XSTRUTHERS -- The 65th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Bieterman of Struthers was celebrated during a family reception Saturday.
Hosts for the event were the couple's family, Barbara and John Cunningham of Kirkland, Wash., Patricia and Harvey Lowery of McDonald, Richard and Diane Bieterman of Salem, and Charles and Janet Bieterman of Rochester Hills, Mich. There are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The former Marjorie Duffey and Mr. Bieterman were united in marriage Oct. 5, 1940, at the old St. Nicholas Church on Center Street. They are active members of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Poland Bridge Club and Southside Bridge Club.
Mr. Bieterman served in the Pacific with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired in 1977 as a general foreman with Youngstown Sheet and Tube. His wife is a homemaker.
