Man hospitalized after Boardman shooting



BOARDMAN -- Police are investigating a shooting early Thursday that sent one man to the hospital.
Glendon Martin, 42, a Jamaican national whose last known address is in Detroit, was listed in stable condition in St. Elizabeth Health Center with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
Martin and a companion were staying at the Red Roof Inn, Tiffany Boulevard South, Wednesday evening while traveling between Detroit and New York.
According to both the victim and his friend, a woman knocked on the motel room door and when they opened it, two armed men forced their way into the room and shot Martin.
They didn't provide a detailed description of the woman or the two armed men.
Detectives are working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Police said there are no indications of narcotics activity.
