John Larroquette to do guest-star role on 'Joey'

Multiple Emmy winner John Larroquette will return to NBC for a couple weeks this fall in a guest-starring stint on "Joey."
The former "Night Court" star is set to play an award-winning, capital-A actor who co-stars with Joey (Matt LeBlanc) in a movie called "Captured" -- a role that could be the former "Friend's" big break in Los Angeles. The first of Larroquette's two episodes is set to air Sept. 29.
He'll be doing double sitcom duty early this fall, in fact: He's set to guest on Fox's "Kitchen Confidential" on Oct. 3 as well.
Larroquette won four consecutive Emmys in the 1980s playing blowhard prosecutor Dan Fielding on NBC's "Night Court." He earned a fifth award in 1998 for a guest role on "The Practice."
Larroquette also had an eponymous series on NBC from 1993-96, earning another Emmy nod in 1994, and starred in the short-lived "Happy Family" -- which, amusingly, isn't mentioned in NBC's announcement -- two seasons ago. He currently stars in a series of "McBride" movies on the Hallmark Channel, playing a detective-turned-lawyer who tries murder cases.
"Joey" is opening its second season with a few changes. Jennifer Coolidge, who plays Joey's head-case agent Bobbie, is now a series regular, and Miguel A. Nunez Jr. has joined the cast as a fellow actor who becomes Joey's friend. With a big movie under his belt, Joey will also be able to move out of his apartment and not have his sister and nephew underfoot all the time (Drea de Matteo and Paulo Costanzo remain regulars, however).
