Girard tops LaBrae for 5-0 TAC mark

LEAVITTSBURG -- Elise Rosco made 18 points, five kills and one block Wednesday as the Girard High volleyball team remained unbeaten in the Trumbull Athletic Conference by defeating LaBrae by scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-23.
The Indians (8-1, 5-0 TAC) also had 10 kills, two blocks and six digs from Courtney Madden, five aces and six digs from Hillary Patterson and 23 assists from Aysha Nickels.
LaBrae (4-4, 3-2 TAC) was led by Maddie D'Orio with eight points, two aces, 13 kills and three blocks.

Hubbard 25-25-25, Liberty 20-10-18
HUBBARD -- Maggie Bogdan had 12 kills and three blocks, for Hubbard (4-1) in a TAC match. Callie Oyler had 12 kills, Corrie Gasser had 31 assists and Lauren Ferguson had 16 points for the Eagles.
Kate Tobey and Kim Budd each added 12 digs.
Chelsea O'Donnell had 11 kills, six blocks, three aces and 17 points for Liberty (4-3).

Brookfield 25-25-25, Newton Falls 13-19-23
NEWTON FALLS -- Morgan Bonekovic had 21 kills, 10 points and 15 digs for the Warriors. Cara Lee Williams added 27 assists and 10 digs.
Kirsten Berry led the Tigers (0-6, 0-5 TAC) with five blocks, five digs, three aces and three kills. Ashley Walker had seven digs and two kills.

Jackson-Milton 25-25-25, Campbell 8-12-6
NORTH JACKSON -- Megan Whitmer scored 18 points with six aces to spark the Bluejays (4-2).
Alyssa Chine added 15 points with eight aces and Allison Chepke had seven kills.
Campbell (0-6) was paced by Jamie Dolan with four points and Heather Hrelec had a kill.
JVs: Jackson-Milton 26-25, 24-11.
Sebring 25-25-25, Southern 12-9-16
SALINEVILLE -- April Duschl, Ashley Amabeli and Tricia Eaton scored 11, 9 and 8 points respectively for Sebring (5-2, 3-2 TCL).
Amabeli also added two aces, nine kills and two blocks, while Eaton had 27 assists. Southern (0-7, 0-6) was led by Emily Ramsey with four points, one ace and two kills.
Carrollton 25-25-25-25,West Branch 21-14-27-20
CARROLLTON -- Ashley Scott had 25 kills, 13 points and six aces to lead Carrollton (5-3) to a four-game victory over West Branch.
Julie Incerpi added 44 assists and eight digs, while Sam Jacobs had nine blocks.
West Branch (5-6) was led by Rachael Boyce with 15 points, 7 kills, and 3 digs, while Casey Benner added 15 points, four digs and six kills. Lauren Pshsniak had 16 points.
Mathews 25-25-25, Lordstown 15-23-23
LORDSTOWN -- For Mathews, Sophie Paddock had 13 kills and four blocks, Jenna Manz had 10 points, three aces and 18 assists and Breanne Gollan had four kills, 10 points and three blocks for Mathews (7-0, 5-0) in an East Suburban Conference game.
Ashley Keller had eight kills, Megan Gibson had five blocks and Whitney Blank had 20 assists for Lordstown (6-1, 4-1).
