Boardman girl wins audition for 'Idol'



NILES -- Jaclyn Hodos, a 17-year-old from Boardman, won the "American Idol" auditions held last week at Eastwood Mall. More than 120 people competed in the tryouts, according to David Redig of WKBN/WYFX-TV.
Hodos sang "Blessed," by Rachel Lamp, in the final round.
She will now audition on Friday in Chicago before "American Idol" producers.
She will receive a makeover from Casal's de Spa of Howland, teeth whitening from The Center for Progressive Dentistry, and round-trip airfare and room in Chicago from 4-Star Travel.
