XYOUNGSTOWN -- Anthony L. Scarfone of Boardman and his bride, the former Kristin M. Tauro of Struthers, left on a cruise to the Caribbean after their wedding Aug. 13 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Monsignor Michael Cariglio Jr. presided at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held in honor of the couple at Mount Carmel Social Hall.
Parents of the bride are James and Karen Tauro of Struthers, and the groom's parents are Anthony and Marie Scarfone of Canfield.
The bride's strapless gown of candlelight satin featured an Alencon lace bodice and a semicathedral train.
Pistachio-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant and bride's sister, Jenna Tauro; the bridesmaids, Dena Scarfone, Stacey Tauro, Becky Speicher, Brooke Gentile, Nancy Damore and Courtney Doyle; and the junior bridesmaid, Veronica Lukach. Flower girl was Alyssa Lukach.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, Frank Scarfone, and groomsmen were Nicholas Frasco, Joe Tauro, Chuck Tepsic, Billy Yardas, Paul Moore and Steve Guerrieri. Junior groomsman was Matthew Lukach, and serving as ring bearer was Anthony Scarfone.
The bride attended Youngstown State University and is a sales associate with Alvin's Jewelers in Niles.
The groom is an Internet sales manager with Youngstown Buick Pontiac GMC and Sweeney Chevrolet in Boardman after attending Kent and Youngstown state universities.
The Scarfones live in Boardman.
