Hearing date set in robbery

STRUTHERS -- A preliminary hearing for James R. Best, accused of robbing the Sami Quick Stop on East Western Reserve Road in Springfield on Aug. 6, is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Oct. 5 in Municipal Court.
Best, 25, arrested at his Springfield Road home Sunday evening, was arraigned Monday before Acting Judge Raymond Delost. Best is being held in Mahoning County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 surety bond, a court official said.
