Crash injures motorcyclist

CAMPBELL -- Joseph A. Murphy, 21, of Washington, Ohio, was in critical condition Monday evening in St. Elizabeth Health Center with injuries suffered when the motorcycle he was operating hit a car in Campbell about 11:40 p.m. Saturday.
The car's driver, Jordan R. Shaver, 23, of Poland, told police he was eastbound on Tremble Avenue when he saw the motorcycle traveling westbound on Tremble at what he believed was a safe distance for him to make a left turn.
When Shaver turned to go into the driveway at 94 Tremble, however, the motorcycle struck the rear passenger door of his car.
Police said Murphy was thrown from his cycle when he struck the car. No one else was injured. Officers said the city prosecutor will determine if charges will be filed.
