A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland Village and Boardman Township:
POLAND
Sept. 9
Arrests: After stopping a car near U.S. Route 224 and Diana Drive for speeding, officers arrested a 38-year-old McKeesport, Pa., man and a 30-year-old New Castle, Pa., woman. The man was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Police said they found a loaded 9 mm handgun under the passenger-side seat. The woman faced a driving-under-suspension charge.
Sept. 11
Theft: Near Clingan Road, officers assisted Struthers police, who were trying to catch someone accused of stealing from a Struthers man.
BOARDMAN
Sept. 6
Theft: An employee at the Golden Corral, 320 Boardman-Poland Road, reported that a padlock on a storage locker was cut, and that two pieces of equipment were taken.
Theft: An employee at Rick's Ranch Wear, 85 Karago Ave., discovered some trailers were broken into and items stolen.
Theft: Someone removed merchandise from a vehicle at Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 7700 block of Amberwood Trail noticed his mailbox was damaged.
Theft: A motorist left the Get-Go station, 6615 South Ave., without paying for gasoline.
Criminal damaging: A man came out of Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road, and found his car damaged.
Theft: Police arrested two Youngstown women, 18 and 21, and a Liberty girl, 17, after a pair of slippers as well as cosmetics were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive. All but the 21-year-old were charged with theft.
Arrest: After pulling over his car, police arrested a 23-year-old Youngstown man on a felony warrant from the Army charging him with desertion.
Drugs: After a traffic stop, Boardman police arrested a Deerfield man, 27, and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.
Arrest: A Boardman woman, 25, was picked up at the Wagon Wheel Motel, 7015 Market St. She was wanted on a warrant from Trumbull County charging her with probation violation.

Theft: A woman discovered her wallet missing while she was at Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Recovered property: A worker at the Residence Inn, 7396 Tiffany Blvd., found a bicycle that had been left near a trash bin for three days.
Theft: A man in the 100 block of Sugarcane Drive reported the theft of a swimming pool liner.
Truck theft: A man told police he left a truck running unattended while at Dick Adgate Florist, 4527 Market St., and that someone took the vehicle.
Theft: An employee at Party Max, 445 Boardman-Poland Road, reported a table and folding chairs were rented but never returned.
Theft: An employee at Kaleel Bros Inc., 761 Bev Road, alleged a co-worker quit and took $150 from the business.
Auto theft: A man left Value City Department Store and discovered his car missing.
Burglary: A man reported a stereo and a TV stolen from his residence in the 200 block of Forest Park Drive after someone broke in.
Arrest: A 43-year-old Youngstown man was picked up on a warrant from Boardman charging him with telecommunications harassment.
Drugs: During a traffic stop, a Youngstown man, 30, and a Boardman man, 47, were arrested. One man was charged with possession of marijuana; police said he had suspected marijuana cigarettes in his possession. The other suspect was wanted on felony warrants charging him with theft and passing bad checks.
Sept. 8
Attempted auto theft: A woman in the 3900 block of Baymar Drive told police someone tried to steal her son's car.
Breaking and entering: An employee at Pettiti Garden Center, 5809 South Ave., discovered someone broke in.
Theft: A customer left a Get-Go station, 6615 South Ave., and failed to pay for gasoline.
Theft: A woman left Boardman Imports, 7811 South Ave., and noticed items stolen from her car.
Arrest: A 38-year-old man wanted on a felony warrant charging him with intimidation of a witness was picked up at his Lealand Avenue home.
Drugs: After pulling over a car near Amherst Avenue, police arrested a 42-year-old Youngstown man on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Arrest: Officers took into custody a 23-year-old man at his Glen Park Road residence after learning he was wanted on a felony warrant charging him with domestic violence. The suspect also was charged with obstructing official business, a misdemeanor.
Sept. 9
Theft: A woman in the 1900 block of Mathews Road discovered the rear license plate missing from her vehicle.
Recovered property: Police found a car that had been stolen and its vehicle identification number altered. The car was located near Market Street and U.S. Route 224.
Theft/criminal damaging: A man came out of Tinsletown USA, 7401 Market St., and found damage to his car and items missing from it.
Attempted auto theft: A man found damage to his car after someone tried to steal it at Ohio Battery & amp; Tire Co., 309 W. Midlothian Blvd.
Thefts: In unrelated cases, thefts were committed at Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road; Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall; Walgreen Pharmacy, 7295 Market St.; and a Get-Go station.
Domestic violence: A Struthers man, 25, surrendered to police. He was wanted on a warrant from Boardman charging him with domestic violence.
Arrest: A 24-year-old Boardman man was charged with misuse of a credit card.
Arrest: A Youngstown man, 22, was arrested at the Mahoning County Jail on charges of theft and obstructing official business. Police say he failed to identify himself.
Theft: Police arrested a 12-year-old Youngstown girl on a theft charge at Kaufmann's.
Theft: A Berlin Center woman, 20, faced a theft count at Kohl's.
Arrest: Officers picked up a 28-year-old woman at her Lockwood Boulevard residence. She was charged with obstructing justice and resisting arrest.
Sept. 10
Theft: A woman in the 1700 block of Halbert Drive discovered her gas grill missing from her rear deck.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 100 block of Caribou Drive saw that someone tossed eggs at her car.
Criminal damaging: A man told police that during a road-rage situation near Glendale Avenue and Paxton Road, the other driver scratched a side of his car with a large knife.
Arrests: After responding to a report of suspicious people, officers apprehended a boy, 17, and a man, 19, both from Boardman. Each was charged with underage consumption of alcohol; the boy also faced a charge of underage possession of tobacco.
Arrest: While investigating a fight, police arrested a 27-year-old Boardman man and charged him with obstructing official business.
Drugs: A Youngstown man, 20, and a Boardman man, 18, were taken into custody during a traffic stop. One faced charges of underage possession of alcohol and possession of marijuana. Police said they found suspected marijuana in an ashtray. The other man, officers learned, was wanted on a felony warrant from Struthers charging him with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
