Founded in 1998 as the Warren City Rescue Mission on state Route 169 and moved in 2001 to its present location at 361 Elm Road N.E.
A Christ-centered, Bible-based organization providing free food, shelter, clothing, drug and alcohol treatment and spiritual guidance to needy people.
Operated by a staff of five with one intern.
Gets no government operating money and operates solely on donations from local churches and the public.
Last year: served 57,111 meals to needy people.
In the first half of 2005: served 35,400 meals; sheltered 182 men and 38 women; dispensed 12,890 items of clothing; and gave food baskets to 612 families.
From April 1 to June 30, distributed 430 pieces of furniture and large appliances to the public.
