PREP SOCCER Four score as Poland wins third



Balanced scoring carried the Poland High girls past West Branch, 4-2.
POLAND -- Sarah Anderson, Maureen Malone, Ashley Cuba and Kasey Eckman each scored a goal Saturday as the Poland High girls soccer team posted a 4-2 victory over West Branch.
The Bulldogs' (3-1) Jessi Toth had two assists while Anderson and Mandy Reardon had one assist apiece.
Cassi Snoddy and Karen Steiger scored for the Warriors (2-3).
Goalkeeper Sam Stanich made four saves for the Bulldogs, while Mollie McVicker made 20 for the Warriors.
Canfield 3, Ursuline 2
CANFIELD -- Audra Frimpong scored two goals while Nikki Sorice had one goal for Canfield (6-0). Jessica Smith and Liz Vernal each had an assist for the Cardinals.
Mariah Snyder tallied both goals for Ursuline (1-3-1), while her sister, Hannah Snyder, had an assist.
Ashley Hunter had five saves in goal for Canfield while Rachel Melewski made one save.
Ursuline goalie Jolanta Carkido made eight saves.
Perrysburg 3, Fitch 2
PERRYSBURG -- Jodi Bowlen and Erica Bortman scored a goal apiece for Austintown Fitch (2-3-1). Courtney Ciavarella had an assist.
Gabby Morrin, Allison Jones and Maggie Overholt scored a goal apiece for Perrysburg (2-4-1).
Goaltender Cara Calai made nine saves for the Falcons. Ashley Williamson made eight for Perrysburg.
Warren JFK 1, Wilmington Area 1
WARREN -- Roxy Hoerig scored off a pass from Lauren Natale for the Eagles (5-0-2).
The Greyhounds are 1-1-1.

AUSTINTOWN -- Nick Bowlan and Brad Hrinko scored a goal apiece as Austintown Fitch (3-2) defeated Howland, 2-0. Joe Sebaugh had an assist for Fitch.
Both teams took 17 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Andrew Monk made 14 saves for Fitch. John Burhley made eight saves for the Tigers.
West Branch 1, Poland 0
BELOIT -- Johnny Wallace scored on an assist from Shane Young.
Both teams took 15 shots on goal. Warriors goalkeeper Young made 10 saves.
Poland goalkeeper Caleb Markshire made 10 saves .
Liberty 4, Bristol 2
BRISTOLVILLE -- Ryan Karson scored two goals while Brent Callihan and Ron Hunkus each scored a goal for the Leopards (2-1-2).
Jim Kelly and Brian Sehon each assisted twice while goalie Jeremy Hume had nine saves.
For Bristol (2-1-1), Max Pajestka scored twice in the second half and Nick Brown saved 12 shots.
