XPOLAND -- The wedding of Jennifer Strimbu of Youngstown and Jason Resch of Poland took place at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 5 at Poland United Methodist Church.
The marriage was solemnized by the Rev. David L. Blood, and the newlyweds accepted congratulations during a reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
The bride, a daughter of James Strimbu of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Millie Strimbu of Fort Myers, Fla., and the groom, a son of Dr. Jeffrey and Linda Resch of Poland, live in Raleigh, N.C., after a honeymoon cruise to the southern Caribbean.
Wearing dark-red gowns were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Angela Strimbu of Orlando, Fla., and the bridesmaids, Jennifer Resch of Columbus, the groom's sister; Maria Strimbu of Brookfield, the bride's cousin; and Lindsay Williams of Youngstown. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Brooke Merry of Columbia, S.C.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's father, and groomsmen were Phillip Resch of Poland, the groom's uncle; Brian Gooding of Plainfield, Ind.; and Cliff Sachini of Follansbee, W.Va. Ring bearer was the bride's cousin, Bayden Merry of Columbia, S.C.
The bride graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in art history and art studio from Wright State University in Dayton.
The groom is an associate with McGladrey and Pullen, LLP, in Raleigh. He graduated magna cum laude with a master's degree in business administration from the University of Dayton, where he earned a bachelor's in both accounting and finance.
