Scrappers get two hits in 6-2 loss



AUBURN, N.Y. -- The Scrappers were held to two hits by four Auburn pitchers Sunday night in a 6-2 loss to the Doubledays.
The setback was the sixth straight for Mahoning Valley and the 13th in their last 16 games.
Evandy De Leon and Chad Longworth had the only hits for the Scrappers. De Leon hit a single and Longworth doubled in the ninth, driving in Mahoning Valley's only runs of the game.
Jim Deters (3-4) was the starter and loser for the Scrappers. He gave up six runs (four earned) and seven hits in 52/3 innings.
