State gives housing grant to Campbell
CAMPBELL -- The city has received a $556,000 Community Housing Improvement Program grant to rehabilitate and/or repair owner-occupied homes and private rental units.
Mayor Jack Dill said a public meeting will be conducted in mid-September, at which eligibility requirements will be explained and applications for the program made available. The grant is from the Ohio Department of Development.
This is how the money will be spent:
$215,000, homeowner rehabilitation, eight homes, including four citywide and four in the 1st Ward target area.
$32,000, home repair citywide.
$100,000, private rental unit rehabilitation.
$80,000, down-payment assistance for rehabilitation citywide.
The balance of the grant will be used for administration and implementation, Dill said.
