YOUNGSTOWN -- A Rally Day is planned for Sept. 11 at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 1806 Market St. Breakfast will be at 9:30 a.m. followed by worship at 11. Fun and fellowship "under God's big top" are planned.
Musical program to note
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Them Bowmans of Lebanon, Ohio, will present a program of music and comedy at 6 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Temple Worship Center, 1465 Sampson St. The Rev. Blaine Bowman is an ordained minister with the Open Bible Fellowship.
Zion Hill to host speaker
COLUMBIANA -- Mike Hileman, youth pastor at Reading Church of the Brethren and founder of Outcry Youth Ministry, will speak on "How to Handle What's Handling You" at 6 p.m. Sunday at Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, 14550 New Buffalo Road.
Anniversary program
YOUNGSTOWN -- A "90 Years Walk of of Faith" anniversary program is planned for 4 p.m. Sept. 18 by the Rev. Henry L. McNeil and the Alpha & amp; Omega First Baptist Church, 3120 Winton Ave.
Speaker will be former pastor the Rev. Johnny B. Heckard, now pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Mansfield. Also participating will be Mount Calvary choirs and congregation. The church also will have a fall revival at 7 p.m. Sept. 21-23 with the Rev. Michael Harrison of Union Baptist Church as guest revivalist. Compete in Bible quiz
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Sunday School Association and Mahoning, Shenango Valley Baptist Association will sponsor the sixth annual Bible quiz at 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman St. For information call (330) 747-2125.
Healing conference set
YOUNGSTOWN -- Lifecare Ministry Center, corner of Shields and Raccoon Road, will sponsor a healing conference from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 17 with the theme "Generational Iniquities." Pastor John Kowalczyk of Isaiah 61 Ministries in Pennsylvania will speak. Participants should take a sack lunch. A $25 donation is suggested. There will be a healing and worship service at 4 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner. Gospel concert planned
YOUNGSTOWN -- Mount Sinai Baptist Church, 328 S. Forest St., will sponsor a gospel concert featuring the Spiritual Angles of Youngstown along with other area groups at 5 p.m. Sept. 10 at the church.
Programs planned
YOUNGSTOWN -- Two programs are planned in October at Sts. Cyril & amp; Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St. The Rev. Bernardino Giuseppe Bucci of Rome will speak on the beatification of Luisa Piccarreta, author of 38 books on mystical theology, during a presentation at 7 p.m. Oct. 7.
The free program sponsored by the Divine Will Prayer and Study Group is open to all interested people; refreshments will follow. The Rev. Nicholas J. Mancini is host priest.
The Rev. Thomas Celso of Rochester, N.Y., will speak on "Luisa Piccarreta and Divine Will" in a series of six talks from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 8.
