XYOUNGSTOWN -- Nicole Chance, 2277 Oran Drive, and Arlo Brookhart, 3802 Mercedes Place, exchanged nuptial vows during a 2 p.m. ceremony Aug. 6 as they were united in marriage by Monsignor David Rhodes at St. Christine Church.
A reception was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church hall to honor the daughter of Rose and Albert Chance Jr., 2277 Oran Drive, and the son of Diane and Bob Hockenberry, 4026 Traymore Drive, Boardman.
After a honeymoon at Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple live at the groom's address.
The bride's strapless A-line gown of white satin was embellished with beading on the bodice.
Pink-ice gowns were worn by the bride's sisters and honor attendants, Jennifer and Kristen Chance; the bridesmaids, Melissa Johnson, Tania Nemer and the bride's cousins, Candace Barak and Megan Gleason; and junior bridesmaid, Lily Hockenberry, the groom's sister. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Allison Ariza.
Paul Barnes served as best man, and groomsmen were Joe Ignazio, Gary Knittle, Dominic Daprile, Tim Smik and the bride's brother, A.J. Chance. Junior groomsman was Jude Hockenberry, the groom's brother.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at John Carroll University and is a case manager with Towards Employment, Social Service Agency, in Cleveland. A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's in education, the groom is a teacher and assistant coach at Ursuline High School.
