Kirks observe 50th anniversary at family vacation
XFORT MYERS, Fla. -- The 50th wedding anniversary of former Boardman residents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Kirk, 6979 Winkler Road, was observed the first week of August during a family vacation at the Outer Banks in North Carolina.
A highlight of the week was a celebration held in Corolla, N.C., by their family, Pamela and Bryan Kloss of Canfield, David and Lori Kirk of Columbus, Lisa and David Mahoney of East Palestine, and Douglas and Amy Kirk and Jennifer Hanigosky, all of Boardman. Completing the family are 15 grandchildren.
The Kirks were married Aug. 6, 1955, at Lakewood Congregational Church. They are members of Cypress Lakes Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Kirk, the former Lindy Limburg, was a counselor and registered nurse with Planned Parenthood of Mahoning Valley in Youngstown prior to retiring in 1995. She was a board member with Hospice, a member of Easter Seals and a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary Board.
Mr. Kirk retired in 1995 as a partner with the firm of Siebert, Worley, Cady and Kirk in Youngstown. He is a past president of the Architecture Institute and Youngstown Rotary and of the board at Park Vista in Youngstown.
