VOLLEYBALL Howland outlasts Canfield, now 2-0

Katlyn Flick, Taylor Summerfield and Tara Rose sparked the Tigers.
HOWLAND -- Katlyn Flick had 15 points and 13 kills, Taylor Summerfield 23 assists, nine points and eight kills and Tara Rose eight points and 13 kills, as Howland High defeated Canfield in five games in a volleyball match.
The Tigers (2-0) won 22-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-11.
Canfield (0-3, 0-1 Metro Athletic Conference) was led by Jackie Nentwick with 10 points, 15 digs and 14 kills, Kate Heagerty with 11 points, 19 assists and 14 digs, and Lorraine Fowler with nine points, 15 digs and five kills.

STRUTHERS -- Sarah Brobeck led the Quakers (1-1, 1-0 MAC) with 15 kills. Brittany Gregory had three blocks and Paige Kenreigh had 28 assists.

POLAND -- Ashley Conger scored 12 points, with 12 assists, 10 digs and eight kills to pace the Bulldogs (1-1, 1-0 MAC). The Bulldogs' Doni Muransky had 10 points, eight digs, three blocks and 11 kills.
For Niles (1-1), Amanda Binion had seven points while Laura Ruberto had 10 digs, Karla Durig had five kills and three blocks while Alyssa Suckow added three digs.

AUSTINTOWN -- Meghan McDermott compiled 22 points, 12 kills and 14 digs and one ace to spark Fitch (2-0).
Rachel Ducay added 18 points, 10 kills, four aces and three digs, while Caitlin O'Patchen had 48 assists, 18 points, 13 digs, four kills and two aces.

LOWELLVILLE -- Annie Semko came up with four aces, five kills and one block while Kaylin McCue added eight kills, four digs and two blocks, to lead South Range. Megan Sosnowski chipped in with 20 assists and Jennifer Felt with two assists and two aces to also pace the Raiders.
For Lowellville (0-2), Rebecca Sturgis registered two aces, two kills and four blocks, while Rachel Mariotti had five kills and two blocks, Ali Grapevine three aces and two kills and Samantha DeBlasio 10 assists and three blocks.

SEBRING -- Ashley Amabeli scored 21 points, with five aces, 32 kills and nine blocks for the Trojans (1-1, 1-1 Inter-County League). Briana Jones had 14 points and two aces. Kayla Faudree had 11 points, four aces, 20 kills and a block.
