Salem Quota Club recipient of award

SALEM -- Quota International of Salem was the recipient of a prestigious award presented to the club at its Aug. 9 meeting held at Highland Creek.
Following a picnic supper, president Pat Saltsman conducted a business session, at which she accepted the Governor's Award on behalf of the organization. The presentation was made by Pat Sandy, past district governor.
The award was given to the club in recognition of its special project, the Speech and Hearing Clinic held on Saturday mornings at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Education Building. Club members volunteer as receptionists for the clinic and conduct fund-raisers to pay for therapists and other expenses.
The executive board will meet at 5 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Smucker House, where a general meeting will begin at 6. For additional information contact Saltsman.
