YOUNGSTOWN -- Mahoning County Salvation Army volunteers will man their Red Kettles, beginning today to collect money to help Hurricane Katrina victims.
The kettles, usually seen during the Christmas season, will be located for about a week at Barnes & amp; Noble and Panera Bread in Shops at Boardman Park, U.S. Route 224 in Boardman; and Panera Bread, 5533 Mahoning Ave. at state Route 46 in Austintown.
Checks should be made out to the Salvation Army and marked for hurricane relief. Monetary donations may also be sent to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 4327, Austintown 44515. Salvation Army officials said 100 percent of the money collected will go to hurricane relief.
