SOCCER Boardman girls defeat North Canton

Noelle Fox led unbeaten Canfield by scoring two goals in a game against Warren Harding.
BOARDMAN -- The Boardman High girls soccer team took a 2-0 lead and held off North Canton for a 2-1 victory in a Federal League game Wednesday.
Kate Mansfield scored the first goal off a corner kick for the Spartans (1-2). Jessica Winters made it 2-0 on an assist from Mansfield with 28 minutes left in the match. Rachel Bover scored 45 seconds later on an assist by Katherine Hindley, but the Vikings could get no closer.
Spartan keeper Lani Vlad had five saves. JVs: North Canton 5, Boardman 1.
Canfield 6, Warren Harding 0
WARREN -- Noelle Fox scored two goals in leading unbeaten Canfield.
Jill Terreri, Liz Vernal, Devin Shryock and Audra Frimpong scored a goal apiece for the Cardinals (4-0). Vernal and Jessica Smith had two assists, while Kaley Donovan, Vicki Magyar and Vernal added one apiece.
Stephanie Cross had 14 saves for Warren Harding (1-2-1). Ashley Hunter had one save for the Cardinals.
Maplewood 9, Pymatuning Valley 0
MECCA -- Tori Spencer had two goals and two assists to lead Maplewood, while Erika Pinko and Leah Dean each registered two goals and Kristina Peterson, Kayleigh Hartman and Jessica Vaughn added one goal apiece.
Ellie Engstrom and Michelle Sloan each had two assists while Vaughn, Peterson and Emily Paris had one assist each for Maplewood (2-1-2, 1-0 Northeast Athletic Conference). Bonnee Clute had five saves for the Rockets.
Amber Reynolds had four saves for Pymatuning Valley (0-3, 0-1).
Badger 2, Bristol 1
KINSMAN -- Hannah Miller scored the tie-breaking goal on Shannon Sudon's assist with about 30 minutes left to give Badger the win.
Cayla Arnold scored Badger's other goal on Miller's assist.
Katy Dvorack had two saves and Lauren Hall had five saves for Badger (3-1, 1-0).
Katy Pajeska scored for Bristol (1-2-1, 0-1).
Boys
GREENFORD -- Mark Johnson had two goals while Jeff Pilcher and Targo Parind added one apiece to lead South Range (2-1) over Campbell 4-2 in a boys soccer game Tuesday.
Goalie Steven Humansky recorded seven saves.
Crestview 2, Beaver Local 2
COLUMBIANA -- John Frost scored two goals and David Felger and Danny Jones had an assist apiece for the Rebels (2-1-1).
Jared Winland led the Beavers with two goals.
