XYOUNGSTOWN -- Nuptial vows were exchanged during a 2 p.m. ceremony July 30 as Lory Moccia, 562 Caroline Ave., Hubbard, and Jeremy Rising, 2297 Howland-Wilson Road, Cortland, were united in marriage by Monsignor Michael Cariglio at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
A reception was held at DiVieste Banquet Hall in Warren for the daughter of Giorgio and Lucy Moccia, 8125 E. Liberty St., Hubbard, and the son of Kenneth and Leslie Rising, of the Cortland address. After a wedding trip to Hawaii, they live in Hubbard.
White and silver beading adorned the bodice and train of the bride's strapless gown.
Light-blue gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Lisa Moccia, and the bridesmaids, Dina Angelo, Janet Florek, Sandy Schubert, Pam Massulo, Kristin Panigall, Julie Ryser and Cynthia Hays. Flower girls were Elizabeth Schubert, Taylor Florek and Emily Marotta.
Craig Burrows was best man, and groomsmen were Mark Moccia, John Angelo, Adam Rising, Joshua Rising, Todd Burrows, Nicholas Heinzer and Christopher Tolnar. Junior groomsman was Jacob Schubert, and ring bearers were Joshua Schubert and Zachary Florek.
The bride graduated from Keuka College with a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. She is an occupational therapist with Rehab Works. The groom, a certified occupational therapy assistant at St. Elizabeth Health Center, earned an associate in occupational therapy at Pennsylvania State University in Sharon and a bachelor's in psychology at Youngstown State University.
