Man faces murder, other charges in arraignment set for next week

WARREN -- Arraignment is set Monday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court for a Warren man on several charges, including the aggravated murder of a Scott Street woman last week.
David Nolan Hollie, 26, of Porter Street Northeast, was indicted Thursday by a Trumbull County grand jury on six felony counts. He remains in Trumbull County jail on a $1 million surety bond. He will appear before Judge Peter Kontos for arraignment.
According to a police report, Angeline Lavine, 37, of Scott Street Northeast, was shot in the head with a handgun about 2:10 a.m. Saturday at a Summit Street Northwest residence.
She was taken by ambulance to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
After interviewing witnesses and conducting a preliminary investigation, police said they arrested Hollie at his residence within an hour after the shooting.
Hollie was initially jailed on a felonious-assault charge, but the charge was increased to aggravated murder after Lavine died.
The report did not provide details concerning what led to the shooting.
The grand jury indicted Hollie, also known as "Shorty," on charges of aggravated burglary with a firearm specification, aggravated robbery with a firearm specification, illegal possession of weapons and tampering with evidence.
The indictment says Hollie was not allowed to have a firearm because of a previous conviction for cocaine possession.
