Meeting will inform on energy assistance



YOUNGSTOWN -- Officials with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and the Ohio Consumers' Counsel will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Youngstown City Hall's council chambers.
The two organizations will discuss the increased cost of energy and provide information concerning state energy assistance programs available to state residents. The meeting is open to the public.
Information will be provided at the meeting about gas and electric assistance and programs allowing state residents to have their utilities reconnected if they failed to pay their energy bills.
Clarence Rogers, a PUCO commissioner, and PUCO staff members will meet with city council's public utilities committee at 5 p.m. that day to discuss the city's energy aggregation program and other issues.
