Hospital skywalk to be installed

WARREN -- A new panorama will soon greet people Traveling East Market Street in Warren.
A skywalk across the thoroughfare, which joins Trumbull Memorial Hospital to the hospital's new Regional Radiation Oncology Center, will be installed Saturday between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.
A crane will lift and set into place the south and final section of the bridge.
"The raising of this bridge will change the landscape and create a new gateway to Warren," said Kevin M. Speigel, TMH chief operating officer.
The 142-foot skywalk will create an archway over East Market Street. The footbridge will provide easy access between the hospital and the standalone oncology treatment center for patients and staff.
The Regional Radiation Oncology Center, one of several major projects for Trumbull Memorial Hospital's $17 million expansion, is part of the "Forum Promise," an overall five-year master facility plan for Forum Health.
The health company says the promise provides for the needs of Trumbull County communities through modern facilities, leading edge technology and an advanced level of care, and easier access and convenience for patients.
