Ebony Lifeline Group to hold sports banquet



YOUNGSTOWN -- The Ebony Lifeline Support Group will present its ninth All Sports Banquet tonight at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Social Hall, 343 Via Mt. Carmel Street.
The guest speaker will be M. Mike McNair, publisher of The Buckeye Review. The guest Master of Ceremonies will be former Cleveland Browns player Judson Flint, a 1997 inductee.
The 2005 inductees will be Rick Bevly (football/basketball), Ora McCain-Barrett (baseball), Edna Ratliff (bowling), Arlteet Gatewood (contributor), Percy Squire Sr. (baseball), Dorothy Walker-Harris (softball), Randy Dotson (football), Catherine "Kitty" Barnett (bowling), Norman "Hammer" Phillips (bowling), Herman "Pete" Starks (all sports) and Walter "Shakey" Woods (softball).
Also, Coralesha Stewart will be honored with the first McCullough Williams Jr. Community Service Youth Award. She is an outstanding senior student and athlete at The Rayen School. She is the daughter of Theresa Jones and plans to attend the University of Akron to major in forensic science or nursing.
