Youngstown man to face drug charges

YOUNGSTOWN -- Jason L. Jones, 22, of Halleck Street ran from police who stopped a car on his street and was arrested on drug charges Tuesday.
Jones was arraigned Wednesday in municipal court on charges of aggravated trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine and drug abuse (marijuana).
Judge Robert A. Douglas Jr. set bond at $100,000 and set a preliminary hearing for Nov. 7.
Mahoning County Common Pleas records show that Jones was convicted of possession of cocaine in December 2004 and received two years' community control, commonly called probation.
A warrant was issued in August for a probation violation. A probation violation hearing in the case is scheduled for Nov. 23.
