Laura Harring joins 'Shield' cast as DA

Laura Harring ("Mulholland Dr.") will join FX's "The Shield" in the recurring role of defense attorney Becca Doyle. She'll appear in nine episodes; season 5 launches in January.
In the storyline, Michael Chiklis' Detective Vic Mackey enlists Doyle to protect his Strike Team from an Internal Affairs investigation headed by new cast member Forest Whitaker.
Cheryl Hines, who plays Larry David's long-suffering spouse on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," will pop up on an episode of NBC's "Scrubs." No air date.
