Poland man, 43, dies in 1-car crash

POLAND -- A 43-year-old Poland man died when he lost control of his vehicle, crashing it into a concrete mailbox on Clingan Road, south of U.S. Route 224.
Mark Renaud, of Howell Drive, died in the one-car crash.
His 18-year-old son, Joseph, a passenger in the vehicle, was released Sunday from St. Elizabeth Health Center.
The accident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday and is being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Excessive speed on a wet road played a factor in the crash, a state trooper said.
