XYOUNGSTOWN -- The marriage of JoAnna Rubino of Poland and Dennis Anthony Schiraldi of New York was solemnized by Monsignor Michael Cariglio during a noon ceremony Oct. 22 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
After a reception at the church hall, the couple left on a wedding trip to St. Lucia. They will live in New York.
The bride is a daughter of Rose and Fernando Rubino of Poland. Parents of the groom are Diana and Dennis W. Schiraldi of New Middletown.
Silver and pearl appliques adorned the cap sleeves, bodice, hemline and train of the bride's white gown of Italian silk satin.
Wearing rouge-colored gowns were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Jacqueline Marchionda, and the bridesmaid, Melissa Argiro, a sister of the groom. The junior bridesmaid was Sarah Reussow, cousin of the bride, and flower girl was Isabella Beato.
John Argiro performed the duties of best man for his brother-in-law, and groomsman was the bride's brother-in-law, Dominic J. Marchionda. Junior groomsmen were Christopher and Anthony Marchionda, ring bearer was Nicolas Marchionda, and usher was Dominic C. Marchionda, all nephews of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in advertising.
The groom graduated from Walsh University in Canton with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's in education administration. He is employed in medical marketing in New York.
