Woman reports she was raped
YOUNGSTOWN -- A 23-year-old Salt Springs Road woman with numerous bruises and cuts on her face and head told police she was raped at an unknown house on the East Side.
The woman said a friend picked her up at home around 2 a.m. Wednesday and said he had to make a stop.
Her friend left her in the house while he went outside to "make a deal," reports show. The type of deal wasn't noted.
The woman said she was sexually attacked inside the house by a 50-year-old man with a gun whom she described as a drug dealer. She only knows his first name -- Paul.
The woman said she was able to escape and hitch a ride home from a stranger when the suspect went to answer a phone several hours after she arrived at the house.
She was treated at Forum Health Beeghly Medical Center.
